CP-5 fretless classical guitar with Fishman EQ
The Sala CP-5 combines an all-solid-wood body, solid rosewood back and sides, an ebony fingerboard and Fishman onboard EQ. It is for guitarists who want to explore microtonal melodies, makam-based music and smooth slides between notes.
The 65 cm scale will feel familiar to many classical guitarists. A cutaway helps you reach the upper fingerboard, while the armrest supports your picking arm.

Choose CP-5 if you want solid rosewood back and sides with Fishman EQ. Choose CP-4 for the all-solid mahogany option with Justpro DP S2. CP-3 has a solid top with non-solid rosewood back and sides, also with Justpro DP S2.
Playing a fretless guitar
Without fixed frets, your fingers determine the pitch. You can slide into a note, adjust an interval by ear or follow the ornaments of a vocal melody. Accurate intonation takes practice, even if you already play a fretted guitar.
If this is your first fretless guitar, start with slow single-note melodies before moving on to chords and faster passages.

Common questions
Is CP-5 suitable for a first fretless guitar?
Yes, if you are prepared to practise accurate finger placement. Previous guitar experience helps, but fretless playing also asks you to rely closely on your ear.
Can I play regular guitar music and microtonal melodies?
Yes. There are no fixed frets, so you can play conventional notes and the intervals between them. Chords may take more practice than single-note melodies.
What sets CP-5 apart from CP-4 and CP-3?
CP-5 combines all-solid construction and solid rosewood back and sides with Fishman EQ. CP-4 uses solid mahogany back and sides with Justpro DP S2. CP-3 has only a solid top, non-solid rosewood back and sides and Justpro DP S2.
